Ankeny Drum Corps Show

 

          This year's show is on Wednesday, July 9th.   Celebration in Brass is hosted by our only Iowa Drum Corps... the Colts.  This year's show has some amazing Corps... probably the best show in years.  

 

          We have 28 tickets all grouped together.  Four rows of seven.  They are prime tickets, right in the center of the stands.  The show starts at 7pm and will likely last until 10pm.  For those not riding with me, please meet at the front gates of Ankeny Stadium at 6:15pm.  That will give people time to shop for food and merchandise.  I have a link below to the Colts website.  Here are some tips and reminders:

 

• This is my way of sharing one of my favorite things.  It is a gift.  I do not expect or want reimbursement.  Just enjoy the show.

• Our group will be a mixture of work colleagues, softball friends and family friends, with a range of ages.  Please don't embarrass me.                          (That means you... Kevin)

• There will be an intermission of about 20 minutes.

• Each corps' performance will last 15 minutes.  During that time it is expected that people remain in their seats.   The people who attend these shows are rabid enthusiasts and don't want to be disturbed during the show. There will be about a 5 minute break between corps when it is ok to leave. 

• When you go home is up to you. Some of you have young children and may not be able to last the entire night. Having said that, the best corps go last. 

• If the weather is bad, the show will be cancelled... not rescheduled.

• If for some reason, you have to cancel your plans to attend... that is very OK. Just let me know... I may be able to invite someone else.

          You will see some amazingly talented young people.  Their ages are 16-21.  They pay a lot of money for the privilege to play with their corps.   I appreciate you all going!
